This would mean that the ambulancemen and the old people get hurt and the aid for the injured people (wegen denen?) the ambulance was driving are not cared about on time.

No, not when 'hear' or 'see' means a real action. The person is using his or her ears or eyes, so that's an active verb, not a linking verb.

Native speakers use adjectives with active verbs in casual conversation, but it's a marker of lower class or education and is not really standard English. If a learner of English wrote 'can't hear/see good,' it would just look like a mistake.

What you may be thinking of is verbs of perception, like

That cake looks delicious.
Their idea sounds good.

That's a different category, because those verbs are more like 'be' than like a true active verb, so they can take an adjective as the complement. The cake and the idea are not using their ears or eyes.

Suncomes, ich weiß, es geht Dir hier um die Sprache, nicht um den Inhalt. Da ich annehme, dass Du den Text selbst verfasst hast, darf ich (als früherer ehrenamtlicher Rettungswagenfahrer) Dich vielleicht trotzdem auf eine inhaltliche Schwachstelle hinweisen.

Der Fahrer eines Einsatzfahrzeugs darf keinesfalls mit Sondersignal einfach drauflosrasen im (völlig ungerechtfertigten) Vertrauen darauf, die anderen Verkehrsteilnehmer würden ihm schon Platz machen. Wer so fährt, lebt nicht lange oder ist zumindest in Rekordzeit seinen Job los. Viele Verkehrsteilnehmer neigen leider dazu, irrational und manchmal auch unvorhersehbar zu reagieren, wenn sie mit Einsatzfahrzeugen konfrontiert werden. Das müssen deren Fahrer einkalkulieren und so fahren, dass sie stets auf eine unangemessene Reaktion der anderen vorbereitet sind, so gut das eben geht. Wird ein Einsatzfahrzeug in einen Unfall verwickelt, ist juristisch fast immer dessen Fahrer schuld. Er hat schließlich die Ausnahmesituation herbeigeführt, der die anderen dann womöglich nicht gewachsen waren; er wurde darin geschult, damit umzugehen – die anderen nicht.

Übrigens: Buchstäblich um Sekunden geht es nur in eher seltenen Ausnahmefällen ...

You also need to watch your placement of commas after introductory phrases and between sentences joined by a coordinating conjunction.
Watch your use of adjectives vs. adverbs in general (fast vs. quickly).
I'd say you also need to define "it" more clearly in your first sentence, particularly because you use it to start the second sentence (i.e.,...anymore, their poor hear might not handicap only them....

Some more points:

"Anymore" is not usually (correctly) written as one word. In formal English "no longer" is preferred, but it would be placed elsewhere in the sentence.
"Recognize by"
Ambulances do not drive fast and apply brakes.
Think carefully about the possessive of "people".
"Caring for" is different from "caring about".
"Old people might hear what too late?
