    Sofagarnitur

Sofagarnitur eingefügt am Fensterwand:Description of a photograph (with classic '70s style furniture)

Does this mean "three-piece suite"? I've found "sectional sofa" as a translation for "Sofagarnitur" but I've never heard of this.

two, three, four-piece, doesn't matter—it's more than one, that's the essence. It's like a "couch arrangement"...

BTW correct German would be an der Fensterwand.

"sectional sofa" seems to be quite common.

I've never used sectional sofa (in BE) but the term three- or four-piece suite is very common.
