SATI (South African Translators' Institute) accreditation exam.

    Comment
    Hello all

I am considering taking the SATI translation accreditation exam next year (German - English)and I am looking for someone who perhaps has some personal experience of this exam. Was the exam very difficult? What subject areas were included in the paper? Was it actually worthwhile? I have the main info from SATI themselves, but would like a little more background. I am currently an in-house translator in the motor industry.

I know its a long shot, but I would be grateful for any snippets of info.

    Thanks

considering the number of people of Indian extraction in S.A., it seems an unfortunate acronym: sati - a Hindu widow who so immolates herself.
