I had an interview today at the BFI (Berufsförderungsinstitut) where I applied for a job as an English trainer. In addition to introducing me to several different possibilities for teaching English, they also offered me the option of a heavily subsidized track called "Top Diplomlehrgang". More information about it can be found here:
http://www.bfi-ooe.at/kundenservice/files/pro...""Top Diplomlehrgang""
Even though it wouldn't be absolutely necessary to become an English trainer, my interviewer told me that it would be good to have since I have no prior training experience. She said I could probably work without it, meaning that I won't do it (it costs €2,700 for 2 semesters before the subsidies kick in) unless it actually has some sort of value down the road, e.g. if I were to become a trainer full-time, not necessarily for this (I'm really looking to just supplement my income by teaching once a week).
1) Has anyone ever heard of this or a description like this?
2) If there any practical value for doing this? What exactly would it, by itself, entitle me to do?
Sorry, but I forgot to ask my interviewer...I always think of this stuff too late. Just wondering if anyone else knows anything about this or has experience. Thanks!!
