    Kommentar
    Is it possible to say both "on the day" and "at the day" in the following sentence? Or is there any difference in meaning?

    --> "The United States were not at war with anybody AT/ON the day of the attack."

    In BE it should be 'on'. On Monday, on Tuesday, on the day of the attack.

    I was confused because I found quotes on the Internet like: "The subscription started AT the day of purchase and not ON the day of installation." So I was wondering if there was a difference in meaning or if one preposition is more common/ wrong.

    Of course, I should have written by the way: "The United States WAS not at war ..."
