When I set out to work in America, I really didn't anything about their culture either. Well, turned out that that wasn't so bad. Had I known, I probably hadn't left Lauhbin in the first place.
Working in America can mean a lot of back-stabbing, name-calling etc. It can also mean great parties, but they tend to be in the minority. Bosses are mean most of the time, and if they're not mean, they're talking behind your back.
Actually, as it was my first real job anywhere, I think I just thought it to be typically American, but when I came back to work in Caithness, I found out that just about every job is like that.
So in the end, American work culture is like any other work culture, plus minus local idiosyncracies.
