    simple

    Comment
    Hello,

Does the word 'simple' carry any bad taste?

E.g. if I call a technical instrument 'simple' or 'simple to use' - could it mean that it is not very sophisticated or is it purely positive like 'easy to use'.

Thanks for all your help ----- Kai

no, but if you call someone "simple", you MAY be implying imply that they are very, very slow (or simply uncomplicated, depending on the circumstances). Calling a device "simple" is a positive thing.
