Question to translators of finance/economics:


I need a financial/business dictionary for translation purposes, although this does not make up a large part of my work. Up to now I have used the pocket Financial Dictionary by Schäfer (an old edition, rubbish) and gone to a reference library to look up terms from the larger Schäfer Wirtschaftswörterbuch (but also an old edition). Not surprisingly, both are somewhat unsatisfactory, so it's time for a bit of tax-deductible investment.

Can I get away with the 6th. edition of the Wirtschaftswörterbuch from 2002, which I can get second-hand at a very good price for both volumes? Or is it really essential that I go for the newer 2006 7th. edition, which comes at a whacking 62 euros for each volume? How much of a difference is there between the two editions in practice?
