But the Kool-Aid is an allusion to the cult whose members all killed themselves, isn't it? (Was that the one where Jim Jones was the leader? I'll let someone else do the internet search.) Did they by any chance also put on new tennis shoes before the mass suicide? Or were Nikes involved in some other weird cult?

So far, neither #1 or #2 seems to fit in the cult context, and #3 apparently misread the quote, it's don't drink Kool-Aid or put on Nikes (weder A noch B), right?
