Is it as correct to say 'He is gone' as it is to say 'He has gone'? If yes, is there a difference in both meanings? When I want to say 'Er ist weg', which expression would I use? The issue is that in colloquial speech one would say 'He's gone', which I heard often, but there one doesn't make any distinction between 'has' and 'is'. :-)
