Children should be allowed to decide for themselves what they want to watch on TV at the age of sixteen. At that age the teenagers should be that responsible to make the right decisions. But maybe the children can decide for themselves what they want to watch on television with the age of fourteen. It always depends on the child. Some are more responsible and some aren't. Parents could try first to give their child the full responsibility and if it doesn't work they should go back to the old rules.

Kann mir das bitte jemand korrigieren ?

At the age of sixteen children should be allowed to decide for themselves what they want to watch on TV. The teenagers should now be sufficiently responsible to make the right decisions. But maybe the children can decide for themselves what they want to watch on television already at the age of fourteen. It always depends on the child. Some are more responsible and some aren't. Parents could try first to give their child the full responsibility and if it doesn't work they should go back to the old rules.

'Children should be allowed to decide for themselves what they want to watch on TV at the age of sixteen.'

'At that age the teenagers should have so much responsibility to make the right decisions.'

But maybe the children can decide for themselves what they want to watch on television already at the age of fourteen.
It always depends on the (individual) child.
Some are more responsible and some aren't.

'Parents could try first to give their child the full responsibility and if it doesn't work, they should go back to the old rules.'

Glaubst du, daß das geht: Erst Freiheit lassen, dann diese Freiheit wieder nehmen ?! . . .

At the age of sixteen children should be allowed to decide for themselves what they want to watch on TV. Teenagers should now be sufficiently responsible to make the right decisions, but maybe by the age of fourteen children can decide for themselves what they want to watch on television. It always depends on the child. Some are more responsible than others (or...some are responsible and others not so). Parents could try first to give their child the full responsibility and, if that doesn't work, then go back to the old rules.
