| Kommentar | Good grief, this is a whole slew of things I would never have guessed. I would have said Elfer, Fünfer, Zwölfer, Pulwer.
In my ancient Duden 6 (Aussprache), all the following are with [f]: Elfas, Elfe, Elfenbein, elferlei, Elfi, Fünfer, zwölferlei, Zwölferspitz.
For Pulver it says '[f], auch: [v].'
But my copy is from 1974; maybe this has changed or is changing?
If so, why isn't it now Helwer as well?
OT: What do you call a young eel in German?
