    Schreibt man railroads generell groß wenn eine Länderbezeichung davor steht?
    Belarusian Railroads, French Railroads, german Railroads etc...?

    Wenn damit eine Eisenbahngesellschaft gemeint ist, ja. Wenn man vom Schienennetz spricht, nein.

    If you are wrting English, the word is "railways", not capitalised. American may be different.

    American: 'railroad' is not capitalized except in the usual places: titles, beginnings of sentences, and in proper names, e.g., 'the Union Pacific Railroad'. Note that to save space, 'railroad' is sometimes abbreviated to RR, as in 'RR XING'.
