Die Abschlagszahlungen [...] werden mit der Vertragskündigung, zahlbar am Ende der 2-jährigen Laufzeit, fällig

how do we distinguish between these two terms in English? I can only come up with "... become payable on termination of the contract and are due at the end of the 2-year term", but that sounds like much the same thing to me.

Can anyone confirm this or come up with a better suggestion?
