Thanks for your feedback. Isn't well thought-out maybe a little "slangy" for a "Gesamtstrategie" of a company? I'm just not sure....

Eine alternative wäre auch "thought through" - a thought through business strategy.

Oder in diesem Zusammenhang "a carefully planned business strategy" (das 'planned' passt wahrscheinlich ganz gut als Gegensatz zum Zufall im ersten Satzteil).
