    Auf See: Wenn der Kapitän auf die Brücke kommt, sagt jemand: "Kapitän / Captain auf Brücke !" Und der sagt dann, wenn nichts besonderes ansteht, "Weitermachen!" Wenn das korrekt ist, wie heißt das englische Äquivalent ?

    Wobei ich mir das nur beim Militär und nicht bei der christlichen Seefahrt vorstellen kann.

    Not sure whether they say "captain on bridge in the Royal Navy" but they say "carry on, number 1" [number 1 being the deputy who was already on the bridge.]

    Slightly OT: Zum Thema "Kapitän auf Brücke" und dem unrühmlichen Ableben von Captain Kirk in "Star Trek: Generations" las ich in einem anderen Forum den folgenden Satz:

    Kirk's life had been determined by "Captain on the bridge", but in the end it was "bridge on the Captain".

    William Shatner erzählt die Geschichte selbst, in "Up Till Now":

    Kill Kirk? What are they, out of their minds? Why did I agree to this? Gradually, I calmed down. I die saving the universe. For my final scene I had to leap from one side of a collapsed bridge to the other. The bridge collapses and Kirk falls to his death.

    [...]

    When I leapt on to the bridge I said: "Captain on the bridge," which was the way I had always announced my presence on the bridge of the Enterprise. And when the bridge collapsed on me I said: "Bridge on the captain." Those lines were cut.

    I went home that night with a great sense of satisfaction. I didn't feel it was the end of an era, just the end of a character.

    ich weiß nicht, wie zuverlässig die obige Website ist, aber die haben "Carry on" - "As you were" gibt es dort gar nicht.

    "As you were" ist AE.

    Unless specifically entering the facility to address the group, the senior officer should immediately respond with, "As You Were," and then proceed with his/her business.
