    Masse

    as in "Insolvenzmasse

mentioned three times in an article on insolvency lawyers' fees:

    1) so this is "insolvency estate" that seems fine and clear: the greater the insolvency estate, the greater the fees.

    2) Massehöhe - is this the value of the insolvency estate?

    3) "if the insolvency lawyer increases the estate"? the original translation doesn't make sense here - how can a lawyer increase the insolvency estate through "considerable workload"?

Does Masse mean the same thing in all three examples?

And can "insolvency mass" be used in English? google gives few results.

I would "guess" that they mean assets
    1) even though it is a bankruptcy, there may be immovable assets, such as real estate
    2) asset value starting at ....??
    3) assets can be increased, for example, through certain types of investments
