    Context: Nur in Vorgriff auf die neuen europäischen Bemessungsregeln (Eurocodes) für den Brandschutz war es möglich.... in eine brennbare Holzfassade zu hüllen.

    How should I understand "in Vorgriff auf"? Would I actually translate it as "in anticipation of the new Eurocodes for fire protection..."?

    "Im Vorgriff auf" bedeutet hier ungefähr: applying the new/future regulations even though they are not formally in force yet
