Im Deutschen unterscheidet die Statistik in den Gesellschafts- und Humanwissenschaften zwischen Zusammenhangs- und Unterschiedshypothesen. Im Englischen kann ich für Unterschiedshypothese kein Äquivalent finden.

German statistics for sociology and humanities differentiates between correlational hypotheses and what I can best describe as "hypotheses of difference". To me, this sounds wrong, but I cannot find an equivalent (not even in Mr Fields "Discovering Statistics...").
