this is usually used as an adj/noun form: "He welcomed her with open arms."

Nicht im Sinne von "recken und strecken" UND AUCH NICHT i.S.v. jmd. begrüßen, sondern

wenn man festgeklemmt o.ä. ist und einen Gegenstand erreichen will, der aber zu weit weg ist...

ähm, das oben war eine Frage.
Hat da jemand eine Idee parat?

Also für soetwas wie
"Sie streckte ihre Arme aus, um das Licht zu erreichen"
