What are Pending Transactions?
Pending Transactions are transactions such as cash deposits (if made in person with a Teller), direct deposits,
point-of-sale (POS) purchases, ATM withdrawals, transfer of funds, etc., that have been submitted but have yet
to clear your account.
What can I see in pending transactions?
You will be able to see transactions due to be paid into or out of your account the next working day including:
• BACS payments (most salary, pension and dividend payments)
• Direct Debits leaving your account
• Cheques leaving your account (these are viewable after 6pm)
• Cheques paid into your account (excluding cheques paid in at HSBC branches). Cheques paid into your account after 3.30pm will show in pending transactions two working days later.
Standing orders will no longer show on your 'Pending transactions' screen as these are now processed through the Faster Payments Service.
We can only show transactions for the next working day. Any other payments you have set up can be viewed by selecting the 'view or cancel' pending payment or transfers option from the 'Make a payment' or 'Transfer money' screens.
