    I know "eingereicht" is "submitted", I'm just not sure how to translate the phrase as a whole here. It just appears as the header for a report. Is it just "submitted to X"? It sounds like an obvious question, but if the translation is for the publication, then why does it need this header? Is it maybe "submitted to X May 2006" but maybe it hasn't been accepted for publication yet?

    Kannst du die letzten beiden Sätze noch mal auf Deutsch schreiben oder umformulieren, ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich deine Frage richtig verstehe. Und was ist ein "report"?

    It is a research report (Forschungsbericht), which has been sent to a technical journal.
    Filed sounds good, but could I put "filed at e.g. The Telegraph"? Wouldn't it be "filed with"? (Uk)
    @Mattes, I was wondering why a report would be sent out with "eingereicht bei" the name of the publication it is being written for on the top. Probably "submitted to" is fine.

    So it's a scientific report/paper being submitted to a scientific/technical journal for peer review, right? Something like "Journal of Textile Engineering" or "Science" etc.? And you are doing the translation into English?

    Dann wird das "submitted to" bestimmt von den Autoren vor der Einreichung wieder gelöscht, und steht eher aus Versehen noch über deinem Originaltext.
