Very briefly, my own German is about C1 standard, but I'm always keen to find more efficient ways of [mainly] speaking.
I did hear someone the other day on the radio say something like (I don't remember the exact context) "Ich habe sie spielen sehen" - which I think would be the way to say "I saw her playing".
But, does this construction work with lots of other verbs, as well as with sehen?
Can you say "Ich habe ihn schnarchen hören" (for "I heard him snoring" ? )
or maybe "ich habe ihn lächeln bemerken" (for "I noticed him smiling" ?)
What about referring to yourself: "Ich bin schwitzen aufwachen" - can you say that? To mean "I woke up sweating" ?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
