Thus we have come full circle.
    X has come full circle.
The whole affair has come full circle.

Depending on context which BTW would have been nice to have had!

Please check the forum and archive before posting. Use the alphabetical keyword index to search the archive. To search a current forum, click on the forum name (e.g. English Missing), scroll to the bottom of the page, click on Items per page: All, and use CTRL-F (Find) to find a key word.

If you still don't understand, it's okay to ask again in the same thread. But it's always better to give a sentence of context.

'The wheel has turned' would be appropriate only in a historical context as an allusion to the wheel of fortune; I'm not sure that's really quite the same thing.

hm--us, you're quite right, but, at least on this end, there's all kinds of funny things happening in cyberspace with the Leo Forum, and the search function in particular is quite temperamental, to say the least. I do have to add, however: Leo is simply great, and the work of the guys managing it is tremendously appreciated.
Sure, "the wheel has turned" has some different meaning, it all depends on the context.

How about: "The circle is complete"? Worked well with Darth Vader. :)
