der dicke Langenscheidt schlaegt als Uebersetzung von "frontalunterricht" "classroom teaching" vor, was IMHO Sinn macht.

in my experience, didactic teaching, can be any way of teaching which is didactically acceptable. it does not refer to the single concept of teacher-centred teaching, which IMHO is the best term for FRONTALUNTERRICHT

Die Arbeitsschritte "Presentation - Practice - Production" widersprechen dem Konzept des Frontalunterrichts (mit den Schüleraktivitäten "Practice" und "Production"), werden aber mit "teacher-centred" beschrieben. Mit dem gleichen Attribut wird auch "open-class arrangement" versehen, das an anderer Stelle auf dieser Webseite so illustriert wird:

Auch hier wird also ein Unterricht mit Kleingruppen angesprochen. "teacher-centred" ist dann nur die Auswertung/Präsentation ("Production" nach obigem Schema) mit der ganzen Klasse. Eine solche "teacher-centred" und "open-class" Diskussion ist alles andere als Frontalunterricht.
