Never seen the word used as a colour, but must mean either coconut, i.e. white, or cocoa, i.e. Kakao / chocolate colour.

i do not think your comment regarding coconut makes sense... is it white or brown? i would think as many people think of the white flesh as of the brownish outside

@noli: "p.s. dont forget a coconut is green when you just drink the coconut water..."
A coconut is green when unripe - all the coconut water ("milk") I have drunk in my life came from brown (on the outside) coconuts.

native... you are not so native... coconut water is drunk from unripe coconuts which are either green or yellow... coconut milk is made from the flesh of the ripe coconut - at the water stage coconuts only have a transluscent jelly ...

noli, it's easy - you have a very creative phantasy but miki gave us 'coco' and that is Kokos(-palme)and you can't earnestly say that this color (kokosbraun)doesn't exist - see Google!
In Germany I never heard of 'white as a coconut' - it's just unusual! But it's common to connect 'kokos..' to the colour brown.
Normally I don't like to argue with you but I can be a 'die-hard' like you are...

bubi... this section is english missing... so the question would have had to be kokosfarben... i just maintain it is an misspelled cocoa - see my wiki link... otherwise i really do not care... i just gave my opinion - have a piña colada - it uses cream of cocoa - which, i regret, is also white... mine is a Coco Loco

Just because I want to join in the fun. Here is my 2 cents.
I would first suggest that it is cocoa in colour meaning something belonging to the brown colours. I have never heard of coconut colour. Cocoa and coconut are two completely different things.
Yes it is true that you can drink the water of coconuts and when a coconut is brown it is old. You can also buy coconuts in the grocery but these are not the original fruit but the husk around has been removed and hence the brown colour as mentioned by someone. You can also drink the water but it is often not as tasty as a young coconut. The white part found within can be eaten as is and also used in baking or cooking.
And in closing the recipe calls for cream of coconut not cocoa. Cocoa is the fruit (?) from which we get chocolate. Which as we all know is brown and hence my comment at the beginning that the colour is probably brown.
