    Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten:

    12pm = 12:00 Uhr
    (12am = 24:00 Uhr bzw. 00:00 Uhr)

    oder midday = Mittag

    ab Mittag sagt man auch "Good Afternoon" wenn man mit Kunden spricht.

    Might I propose a new term: chewing the LEOcud

    Definition: A topic just keeps on coming back to be chewed over time and time again.

    Get ready...

    Post something to a forum which records the postings using a.m. or p.m. at 12:00 midday and see what it says. This happened to me recently and I considered posting the resuklt here, but it was one of those rare days that nobody had asked this question.

    Noon is PM, midnight is AM (...I always thought it was messed up like that, but whatever.

    If it helps (but it probably doesn't):

    AM - ante meridiem (before midday)
    PM - post meridiem (after midday) (think of noon as 00:00 after midday)

    (...It always made me think clocks should go 12 11 10...3 2 1 - midday - 1 2 3...10 11, buy maybe that'd be even more confusing)

    ...And Good afternoon happens after noon, but usually around 5-7PM you start getting "good evening" instead.
