Soweit ich weiss, ist es "x square" und "x cube". Desweiteren sagt man "x to the power of four/five/..." oder "x to the fourth/fifth/... power".

x to the hundredth
x to the nth
etc.

We almost always say 'squared' and 'cubed,' rarely 'to the second' or 'to the third.'

Actual numbers should be in their ordinal forms, but forms like 'xth' and 'yth' would be too hard to pronounce, so variables other than n just take the cardinal form:

n to the x
4 to the y
100 to the z
etc.

The full phrase with the word 'power,' as in 'x to the fourth power' or 'x to the power of four,' is correct but not at all common.

I've never heard anyone say 'doubled,' 'tripled,' or 'quadrupled' in this context, but it could be BE.
