@ #3: Are you sure? My understanding is that "as of" means "ab dem ... " or "seit dem ...".
Since the contract is valid until 31.05., I guess it would then have to say: Terminated as of 01.06..
Or am I wrong?

Da ich gerade vor dem gleichen Problem wie housekeeper stehe würde mich die Antwort auch interessieren:
as of und dann 01.06. wie in seinem/ihrem Beispiel oder
by und dann 31.05.?

Auch ich stehe jetzt vor diesem Problem und finde, die eigentliche Frage ist nach wie vor nicht ausreichend beantwortet:

Ich vermute mal, dass candy-cane's Vorschlag mit "01.06." ergänzt werden muss, wenn der Vertrag zum 31.05. gekündigt wurde?
