If it is the Taskbar, please note that it is written as one word and capitalised.

"taskbar" is one word, but it is not capitalized (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systray)

    @ Bob C.

I beg to differ. If you right click on your Taskbar, the second option from the bottom should read "Lock the Taskbar". Therefore, the word "Taskbar" is one word and capitalised.

Know-it-all, Nope, Bob's right - the only reason "Taskbar" is capitalized here, is because it's in Microsoft's title on the subject:

How to Move the Taskbar from Its Default Position - [ Diese Seite übersetzen ]This article describes how to move the taskbar. To move the taskbar from its default position along the bottom edge of the screen to any of the other three ...

@know-it-all: Taskbar is in this case written with a capital T because it means exactly THIS taskbar. That makes "Taskbar" to the name of this particular bar, which then causes capitalization.

taskbar in general is NOT written with capital T.

The word Taskbar should be capitalised.

(and no, "taskbar" should not be capitalized. Punkt.)

The word Taskbar should be capitalised, even according to Microsoft's own style guide. There are many examples where they have not heeded their own advice on their website and in the literature they produce. Once again, the word Taskbar should be capitalised!

Here is Microsoft's Style Guide. The word "taskbar" is capitalized only in diagrams, figures and titles.

Quick Launch bar is something altogether different, although it IS located on the taskbar.
