"fo shizzle ma nizzle" is a bastardization of "fo' sheezy mah neezy" which is a bastardization of "for sure mah nigga"

Eigentlich heisst es 'for shizzle my dizzle' (engl. 'for sure my nigger) und ist ein Slang, der in den USA von Schwarzen bevorzugt wird.

@Dan: where the hell did you get "dizzle" for "nigger"? Besides, it's not "nigger," it's "niggah." The first is an insult, the second is how some blacks like to call each ther. Not to be confused!

My bad, should have been 'nizzle' of course. So, would you be so kind as to explain to me the difference between the insult 'nigger' and the slang term 'niggah'. Not being a native speaker, how am I supposed that there exists a difference in orthography? To my German ears they both sound utterly equal.

@Dan: my first question would be - if you don't know what you're talking about, why are you giving suggestions in a manner that leads the person asking to believe you're an expert?

Secondly, however, the "friendlier" word is pronounced just the way it's written: niggah. The first one, the insult, would have the infamous "hot-potato" "R" at the end, like digger, figure. trigger, etc. If you've never heard either, you probably wouldn't know the difference, but here in the States it's a matter of cautious discrepancy. And for a white person, either word is a no-no. I have black friends but would rather be shot in the head than call one of them "ma niggah" (although I have done it jokingly, under the "proper" circumstances).

I don't know if I got you wrong but what on earth led you to believe that I would ever dare using this word? Even though I would proably get away with it as I am not a native speaker, I don't this is not the kind of lingo is not part of my active vocabulary.
And secondly, what made u think I did not know what I am talking about? Apart from the typo and the difference in orthography, which, mind you, for a non-ns is minuscule, we both provided equal explanations.
Besides, hanshagel asked for a German translation that you were obviously not able to give, so why did you even bother answering?

@Dan: I wasn't attacking you or implying anything about your vocabulary. But your answer wasn't correct and conceivably could have gotten hanshagel into possible trouble. Suppose he actually believes it means the very harmless "na klar, Alter," as you suggested, and maybe he happens to be among Blacks one day and tries to use that phrase... "fo shizzle ma nizzle!

Also, I'd noticed before, in other threads, that your command of the English language isn't all that great (see in eine virtuelle Welt abtauchen in "Translation correct?", for instance). Giving an incorrect answer doesn't help the person who's looking for a correct one.

Finally, the reason I didn't go beyond an explanation in English and offer a German translation for it was because I didn't think there was a need. I felt confident that hanshagel would understand what it meant without it being spelled out in German.

@Dan: then I'll be happy to explain it to you. The question was in eine virtuelle Welt abtauchen - to descent into a virtual world??

The second part of your answer (the first one was correct) was: Wobei es an deinem Vorschlag m. E. auch nichts auszusetzen gibt.

Fact is: "descent" is a noun and means (among many things) "das Abtauchen." The correct (verb) form would have to be "to descend into..."

...from which you infer that my command of the English language isn't all that great? A daring conclusion I daresay. Although I am ready to admit that I should have seen this spelling mistake instead of precipitously adding my two cents worth.
