In der internationalen Rechnungslegung gibt es die sogenannte "Going concern"-Prämisse. Auf deutsch: "Fortführungsprämisse", d.h. die Annahme, dass das Unternehmen weiterhin besteht, also nicht insolvent o.Ä. wird.

A company that is a "going concern" can be "a business in actual operation," but it is usually a bit more than merely "functioning" or "not on the verge of bankruptcy."

This is a fairly common English expression and normally means "a flourishing business" or a "profitable enterprise."
