I have a document where only parts have to be translated due to change. The document pertains to powers of authority (limits) and throughout there is speech of ¤...k. Does anybody know what the k stands for?

Assuming the strange symbol in front of the "k" is intended to be a Euro sign, then it might be "kilo" - i.e. 1,000 Euros ...

Please apologise, sorry, I did not know that LEO could not read the Euro sign. Those ¤'s refer to Euro.
    Thanks.

Thanks very much the two of you. Wonder how this kilo bit came about and why people still use it. Depends on the coins or bills used how heavy they are - LOL.

@Penguin, thanks I gathered that much, but I still can not understand why such a modern
company would want to use k for thousands today.
