coy bedeutet eventuell 'spielerisch' und könnte im Gegensatz zu 'prude' heissen dass sie gerne flirtet.

was verstehst du eigentlich unter 'spröde'? vielleicht hilft das.

ich glaube es handelt sich hier um 'Unzugänglichkeit' sowie ein sprödes Thema-a sore/touchy subject

ja, verstehe. demure ist nicht sehr gebräuchlich und beschränkt sich soweit ich weiss auf Frauen.
as i understand the word, a 'demure' woman would be one, who if given a compliment or flattered would turn her head as if to snub the person talking to her but would probably be smiling while she looked away or in the back of her mind imagining that by turning her head she's inviting him to kiss her neck (which she would never allow).
coquettish means flirtatious, actively trying be found attractive by being playful or entertaining
coy means that you flirt, but leave it unacknowledged. "don't be coy" means "stop pretending you don't know what i'm talking about" "stop playing games"
spröde seems to focus a bit more on the rejecting of another's attempts at flattering, connecting, complementing or even understanding you.

i agree that demure conveys most of that, but only when 'spröde' refers to a young lady
