    This was misspelled in the English. To "prorate" something is best explained by example. Say I were to pay you $30/month for working for me. (cheap wages, I know) If you only worked 27 days, I would "prorate" the $30/month wage for the number of days you worked, in this case, 27. It means to take into account an incomplete number of something. Another example - I get an insurance policy on, say, a car. The insurance policy is for 1 year. In the 11th month I add another car to the policy. The insurance company will charge me a "prorated" rate of what the new car would cost to insure by itself ($X /12) and charge me that 1/12 rate, which is prorated. Alles klar?
