In my understanding, Toko is not going to aks his friend for any payments. So he will not ask rent from him, or he will dispense his friend from paying rent, or just do without it. So, living in the flat will be rentless for Toko's friend. Hope it's not all busted doors and broken windows :)

@Toko: Es ist nicht ganz klar, was Du meinst. Wer verzichet auf die Miete? Das kann doch nur der Vermieter. Was spielt es für eine Rolle, ob Du das einem Freund oder dem Vermieter sagst?
