The original quote is from a poem of Emanuel Geibel, a 19th-century romantic lyricist. This message was later taken up by conservatives and nationalists like Kaiser Wilhelm and his contemporaries and by the nazi movement. As such, to me it conveys a decidedly menacing undertone that is not captured by any of the translations except perhaps by "the German spirit shall heal the world" in post #4. I would go even one step further and suggest "by the German spirit the world shall be healed". The weak point here is 'spirit' which doesn't quite capture 'Wesen', but I cannot think of anything better that comes closer.
