That term does not show up in my book. It seems to be one of those German inventions and I don't know what it means. :-))

The ending '-istisch' usually points to a foreign origin of the adjective or, as in this case, it modifies the usual meaning of the word 'genial' (=brilliant) to mean 'giving the appearance of (occasional) brilliance (without actually being a genius)'.

Die Endung -istisch ist of in englischen Übersetzungen als -istic zu finden.
Vielleicht könnte man hier auch damit spielen: ingeniousistic?

Aber natürlich ist genial im Deutschen richtig. Wenngleich nicht zur Bezeichnung eines Despoten, denn wer genial ist, hat es nicht nötig, durch Despotie zu herrschen.
