In osteochondritis dissecans, a loose piece of bone and cartilage separates from the end of the bone because of a loss of blood supply. The loose piece may stay in place or fall into the joint space, making the joint unstable.

@Marianne: avulsion wäre möglich. Von Absprengung spricht man z.B. dann, wenn ein Kantenabschnitt des Knochens betroffen ist.

der komplette Satz lautet:
Kleine knöcherne Absprengung in Projection auf die kranialen Weichteilstrukturen des AC-Gelenkes.
Hier wuerde disruption wahrscheinlich nicht zutreffen, oder doch?

PJ - why didn't you give us the context at the start and spare my speculation? At least I have now learnt the difference between "Sprengung" and "Absprengung"
