    Es geht um eine Druckmaschine, bei welcher die Druckrollen auf eine bestimmte Geschwindigkeit gebracht werden müssen

    Not a particularly great example in the above link, but it's quite a common expression 'to bring or get something up to speed' before it will work properly - specifically machinery. So in your case it world be something like: 'the printer rollers have to be brought up to speed before the machine works properly' You could probably also say, 'run up to speed', or simply 'run up' as you have already suggested.

    Also a very common usage of this phrase is the more abstract to bring a person up to date. In a new job for example, it often takes someone a certain time period to 'get up to speed' i.e become effect in their new job.
