    geil

    Quellen
Hello. I've just found a list of words all ending in geil and I was wondering if someone could tell me which ones are
    a) most vulgar/acceptable
    b) most commonly used
and if they are used all over Germany or just in one region?
Also, can anyone suggest any other examples? And what else can sau be added to?
Thank you very very much for your help.

    saugeil
    schweinegeil
    arschgeil
    vollarschgeil
    todgeil
    endgeil
    hammergeil
    mörderhammergeil
    pissgeil
    endgeil

The most used one IMHO is "affengeil".

All of the words are coll. and used by teenagers.
I didn't know a teen who never used such words.

VorschlagIs this a serios question ;-)?

Well, here you go, just my personal opinion:
As somebody already said, these are all coll. and mainly used by teenagers. Well, I am not a teenager but still sometimes say "saugeil" ;-)
"geil" itself is seen as vulgar by many over 40 because it used to mean only something like "horny"...

    saugeil - yes, commonly used
    schweinegeil - never heard
arschgeil - quite vulgar but commonly used
vollarschgeil - possible but never heard
todgeil - yes, used, but not as often
endgeil - used in some areas, other use "obergeil"
    hammergeil - yes, used
mörderhammergeil - possible but not very common
    pissgeil - never heard

Other common usage of "sau" would be:
    saucool
    saustark
    saunett

Yes, that was a serious question. I am interested in how young people speak. Thank you very much for your suggestions. What else can hammer be added to and also can you say 'Das ist Hammer' or must it be 'Das ist DER Hammer'?

Tom, these really are questions for the "Sprachlabor" section, not "Deutsch gesucht", as you are obviously not looking for a German translation of a given English expression. Please start a new thread in the correct section.

    Both versions are used.

e.g. Das musst du probieren. Das ist (der) Hammer! = You have to try it. it is awesome!

Lots of teenagers also start or end sentences with "Alter"
e.g. Alter, das war Hammer/ Hammergeil, Alter! = Dude, this was great, dude (or something like this:-)
