    on the side

    Quellen
    Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlQFvKgPSC0&fe...
in 5:21 I hear the following:
"...potted bits of history, for instance [on the side], he starts his history largely in the 700's AD..."

"for instance on the side" does not make much sense to me. Is she really saying something else that my ears can4t make out?

And just after that, at 5:48, what is she saying? "what happened to them, you think they hooked up with your indigenous "I save Britain""
Is she really saying "I safe Britain" or something entirely different?

Sie sagt "for instance on his side" so. Man spricht ja nicht immer druckreif. Gemeint ist wahrscheinlich sowas wie "... als Beispiel fuer seine Meinung/Darstellung..."

I hear " do you think they hooked up with your indigenous ice-aged Britain?"

Yes, I'm sure about both points. She definitely says "on his site" (website). Any other interpretation makes no sense. And I'm pretty sure it's "ice-aged Britons" then she mumbles something like "is that it?"

Thanks for the link, btw. I missed the discussion and it was good to see it.
