I have a question about this. I think "his doctor confined him" sounds a little funny, and the answer from dude sounds better, but: how would you say this in a more official document, like from the health insurance company or something? I have a text here that lists one of the regulations in the SGB (SGB V § 24h), and then gives an example:
-- amendment -- I'm adding the previous sentence, as it tells what the subsequent example is an example of:
"One example is when the woman is otherwise healthy, but under doctor's orders to remain in bed." but I'm worried it doesn't sound official enough. Any suggestions? Thanks!
