The sentences aren't wrong - just a little stiff.
We will once again spend Christmas at home with family and friends. My friends and I want to have fun and celebrate New Year at (or in) a bar (pub, night club,etc.).
it's optional to translate schön here. Unfortunately, per the old saying, things just get lost in the translation.
typically one says "...family and friends..." because relatives are already members of the family. Saying relatives with family is somewhat redundant.
If you want to emphasize just Mom, Dad, siblings, in-laws, etc., then use the term "immediate family."
If you don't want to mention friends, but include the other family members (Aunts, Uncles, cousins, etc.), then use the term "extended family."
It just depends on how detailed or how long-winded you want to be.
