Leicht veränderte Idee im Englischen: "That's what my name stands for". "That's what I stand for with my name" klingt irgendwie komisch...
Es ist wirklich Onkel Hipp, der das sagt - neuerdings sogar im Hinblick auf Körperlotion et al :-)

That he (Hipp) would stake his reputation (name) on the quality of his products.

It's also naff in German.

Ich glaube, man muss sich da ein wenig vom Original lösen. Wenn z.B. eine ganze Seite lang aufgezählt wird, was die Firma alles leistet, könnte man mit "And that's a promise!" oder ähnlichem schließen.

Re "naff":

Im Deutschen weckt es einfach Assoziationen an Herrn Hipp. Ich weiß zwar nicht, um welches Produkt/welche Dienstleistung es hier geht, aber Assoziationen mit Babynahrung passen wohl nicht immer. Ich halte das "Dafür stehe ich mit meinem Namen" daher für ein wenig unglücklich.

In den USA gibt's den Anzugverkäufer von "Men's Wearhouse", der immer sehr eindringlich sagt: "I guarantee it." Name kommt darin zwar nicht vor, aber die Idee ist die gleiche. -- Aber das ist damit ja nun schon besetzt, das kann Herr Hipp nicht mehr nehmen. :-)

I think Sam of Walmart fame said something similar in his adds for Sam's ??, whatever the new stores are called, so there might be a less than pleasant US association too.

Jalapeno's suggestion was also used in advertising of some kind in the US, but I can't think of the product/store.

After google-oogling a bit I found quite a few sites stating:
I stake my name and reputation upon the quality of our products
and
I vouch for the quality of our products
so something along those lines ................

Well I was not too far off:)

Ich kenne diese Wendung mit Zusatz von "ein" - für etwas _ein_stehen. Und das wird in LEO auch mit "avouch for" übersetzt...
