    Translation correct?

    Aggregatszustand - aggregation state

    Source Language Term

    Aggregatszustand

    Correct?

    aggregation state

    Comment
Leo gives "state of aggregation" for "Aggregatzustand". When speaking of "changes of the state of aggregation of..." there are too many "of"s in the sentence, so I wondered if just writing "aggregation state" would be ok as well. I asked google for co.uk sites containing "aggregation state" and it rarely seems to be used, but on the other hand, "state of aggregation" seems to be even more seldom...

    Thanks for your help.

    First: "Aggregatzustand" (without s)
Second: Im not really happy with the leo translation. I would prefer "state of matter" or "phase".

The right way is not "aggregation state" but "aggregate state".

"state of aggregation" ist jedenfalls scheinbar wirklich falsch. ("aggregation" meint in etwa "agglomeration")
