- I am totally unfamiliar with "matter of consequences" in the sense of "matter of importance", and searching the web produces almost nothing but references to cases in which "consequences" means Folgen
, including many to the book A Matter of Consequences
by B.F. Skinner.
- I did find this solitary reference to a "matter of consequences" in the relevant sense. It is from a letter to the NY Times by a member of the public, not by one of the paper's journalists. I think the use of "consequences" in the plural is a mistake.
