IMO the German-to-English translation is accurate and grammatically correct, but it is not something normally said or spoken.

I have / work 3 jobs to earn a living.

I have / work 3 jobs to pay my bills.

I earn a (decent) living by working 3 jobs / having to work 3 jobs.

I support my life-style by working 3 jobs.

I support myself financially by working 3 jobs / having to work 3 jobs.

I make a living by working 3 jobs / having to work 3 jobs.

"...to finance a / my life..." is a bit unusual to my ears.
