The word is missing from several commonly cited dictionaries:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/tex...
http://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/spe...
http://dictionary.cambridge.org/spellcheck/am...

thefreedictionary.com lists text blindness as a synonym for alexia, which the American Heritage Medical Dictionary defines and lists as synonymous with text blindness, word blindness and visual aphasia.

http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.c...
text blindness n.
See alexia.

a·lex·i·a

"An inability to comprehend the meaning of written or printed words and sentences, caused by a cerebral lesion. Also called optic alexia...to differentiate from motor alexia...
Synonym(s): text blindness, word blindness, visual aphasia (1)

wissen.de cross references Leseschwäche to Legasthenie, which is commonly translated as dyslexia in English.
http://www.wissen.de/lexikon/leseschwaeche
Duden doesn't list Leseschwäche: http://www.duden.de/suchen/dudenonline/lesesc...
There are, however, a lot more hits for Leseschwäche in a Google search, which suggests that the word is more established in German, for example: http://leseschwaeche-rechtschreibschwaeche.de...

I suggest that this pairing be deleted. I'm not an authority on reading disabilities, but I have read a fair amount on the topic in English, and I've never seen the word "text blindness". An internet search yields mostly hits to online dictionaries, which give the word as a synonym for alexia or word blindness.

Word blindness is in reputable dictionaries such as OALD: http://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/def...
and also Merriam Webster: http://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/word%2...

It appears that alexia is commonly used to refer to the loss of reading ability, typically in adulthood: "Alexia is an acquired disorder of reading subsequent to brain injury in a person who had previously been literate." http://faculty.georgetown.edu/friedmar/alexia.html

Compare this article, however, which says that alexia is sometimes used to refer to a disorder that interferes with the acquisition of reading skills: http://cirrie.buffalo.edu/encyclopedia/en/art...

To sum up: there is little evidence that text blindness is used. If listing is maintained in LEO, I suggest it be marked in some way to indicate that "text blindness" is not the best or most common choice for translating "Leseschwäche."
