Der Schwenkeinlauf ist eine Form des
Einlaufs,
die häufig fälschlicherweise als "Hebe-Senk-Einlauf" bezeichnet wird, da man bei seiner Durchführung den
Spülbeutel heben und senken muß. Das Prinzip dahinter ist das Heberprinzip.”

“Nach dem Einführen des Darmrohrs wird der
Irrigator oder Beutel abwechselnd gehoben und gesenkt. Beendet wird der Einlauf, wenn sich die Spülflüssigkeit braun färbt (Abgang von Stuhlpartikeln) oder genug Darmgase entwichen sind. Dies erkennt man am Gurgeln der Spülflüssigkeit im Irrigator. Der Vorgang sollte 3-4 mal wiederholt werden.”

“Return-Flow Enema
A return-flow enema, or Harris flush, is used to remove intestinal gas and stimulate peristalsis. A large volume fluid is used but the fluid is instilled in 100-200 ml increments. Then, the fluid is drawn out by lowering the container below the level of the bowel. This brings the flatus out with the fluid. Repeat this procedure three to five times or until no gas is returned.”
